黑膠唱片機
凱莉一張一張唱片摸過，挑了一張靈魂樂，放進唱片機，指針像一隻溫柔的手指頭，輕輕的劃過黑膠唱片，凱莉把音量調大，我們就在凱莉的房間裡，跟著音樂輕輕地舞動身體，相視而笑。
這次回到英國，感覺跟留學時期大不相同。里茲的街道大致沒變，我閉著眼睛都能走，但大部分的朋友們都不在城裡了。我知道自己應該替大家多拍一些照片讓大家看看熟悉的里茲，但拿出相機後又反悔了，暗自對自己許下承諾：我不要拍重複地拍同樣的場景！每一張照片都要是全新的體驗，否則不拍。
凱莉搬家了。他的生活有了很大的改變，而我也某種層次上重新認識這個女孩。我們在他的新家弄了些沙拉、切了一些麵包、起司、開了一瓶白酒，到後院聊到傍晚，然後到他的房間裡，挑幾張黑膠唱片，隨著經典靈魂樂隨意的跳起舞來。唱片機還是那麼的美，不論時光怎麼變、場景怎麼換、隨音樂起舞的人少了多少，唱片機還是那麼的美，那麼溫柔地拂過一張張轉動的黑膠唱片，流瀉出經典的音樂。
我們相視而笑。世事變化太快，讓人措手不及，幸好，有些東西永遠不會變。
The Record Player
Kelly checked through one record and another, picked out some soul music and put it onto the record player. The needle touched the record gently like a finger. Kelly turned up the volume. We let our bodies move naturally with the rhythm. Then we smiled.
I feel very differently in England this time from my study times here. Everything is the same in Leeds. I can almost walk with my eyes closed. However, most of my friends are not in town now. I know I should take some pictures to show people our most familiar town but changed my mind when I took the camera out. I made a promise to myself: I am not going to take the same pictures again! I want every single picture to be a whole new experience; otherwise I will not photograph it.
Kelly moved to a new place. She had a huge change in her life which also forced me to know this girl again from a new perspective. We made some salad, had some bread with cheese, opened a bottle of white wine, and chatted till almost evening in her back yard. Then we went to her room, picked some records and danced to the classic soul music. The record player is still so beautiful. No matter how time flies, scenes change, people dancing around to music came and left… The record player is still so beautiful. Still touches through spinning records gently and lets the music play.
Then we smiled. Things change so fast that sometimes we couldn’t even handle it. Thankfully, there are still things that never change.
